Halloween Treat Trail

Local businesses line the trail at Bailey Road Park and hand out prepackaged candy to kids in costume. Only children ages 2 to 12 can collect candy, and each one needs to be preregistered for a single 30-minute trick-or-treat slot between 5:30 and 7 p.m. The 5:30 slot sold out early, so check the town’s page for open times before you plan around one.

Registration is free for Cornelius residents and $3 for non-residents. Older and younger siblings can’t collect candy on the trail, but the whole family can join the festive games and activities. The event runs 5:30 to 8 p.m.
